A lazy Sunday in Keflavik

3 September 2017
Bridge between Continents

This is where the the North American and Eurasian continental tectonic plates are drifting apart about 2 centimeters each year, or about 2 meters every 100 years!

Things are a-movin and a-shakin and we can barely feel it!
And since we are in Iceland, did we mention the weather changes at any moment...........
Yep, got caught in a drizzle!!
Good thing our rental car has heated seats!
We tried stopping by a geothermal plant, but it was closed on a Sunday.

So we drove some more, then found an unmarked section of parking lot that ended up being a beautiful place called Brimketill, or the trolls hot tub!
The ocean waves have crashed onto the shore creating pools(of sharp lava rock!)

You just never know what you will find in Iceland!
