Maastrict

So off we go again to the train station! We cross the border from Belgium into the Netherlands today, and the first town we arrive in is called Maastrict.
A big university district. Cobbled streets and a lot of culture here.

We are staying at a "hostel" for the first time on this trip, and so far, it is the cheapest place we have found for food and drinks! So we relaxed for a bit after walking about 2 miles with our bags.
Here is Ken using his travel friendly(can bring it on planes) multi purpose tool. None of the countries have given him a hard time with it, in fact traveling between the schengen union countries has been a breeze. Although traveling with a pocket knife is not allowed in the Netherlands, which is something we are having a hard time with, what are we supposed to cut cheese with 😉

City gate built in the 1300's.

Is this building leaning??

A water wheel that supplied power for milling grain and hops.

Ken getting his exercise!

Then off we go the next day walking back across the river to the train station, headed to Eindhoven next. More on that tomorrow.

But first some burgers, oh these were good..........De Burger knows whats up!
