Back to Amsterdam! A 15 minute train ride brings us into the heart of the city. After looking closer at the hotel we had booked, we realized it was not an area we wanted to stay over night in, so we canceled it and found this gem- Hotel Casa. A little more out of the way but still close enough to access the city and everything we desired to see on our last 2 days here!
Whats even better~ is we were using Hotels.com for some of our bookings and they have a rewards program when you book 9 nights you get the 10th FREE!! This was our 10th night!!! We would undoubtedly stay in this hotel again, even without the FREE night, the price was right and it was not in a dirty or bad area of Amsterdam!!
And they had a fantastic breakfast available and small bite restaurant that was better than I expected!! Always a plus!!!
Off we go exploring, I don't even think we will get lost this time!!

One more visit to what has become a favorite out of the way place in Amsterdam, the Foodhallen, otherwise known as a food court. Visiting in the daylight it looks so much different, still busy, but not as crowded! Also a place we would highly recommend!
Then onto the House of Bols Experience, a place to learn about Hollands gin, we like gin! Also called genever, geniever, jenever, peket, or dutch gin. And the ways to make it and the different flavors produced are just as diverse as the names!!!!
Once signed in you are warmly welcomed and handed a few crucial items for your mission ahead of you! An audio guide, a small bottle about the size of my insulin bottles, filled with a dark amber color that they ask you if you have any allergies before you drink it but don't tell you what is inside(????) and a chip for a free drink at the end of the tour!!

Pick a door, any door and step inside for an experience! This is the room where they instruct you when you should taste the vial you are carrying with you, the lights and color and sounds all add to the sensation!!
